About Dawn Grossi, LMT

I am the mother of two sons (ages 27 and 17) and I am married to a wonderful man, who adds to my happiness in life.

Saying that I LOVE dogs would be an understatement, the opportunity to live with two dogs (a.k.a. 4 legged court jesters) is too much fun!

Having decided at the age of 40 to finally go to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (Florida Lic. #MA76844 ) I graduated Cortiva Institute in 2010. Answering this calling was a good fit for the lifestyle of health and wellness that I was actively pursuing and the wellness products and services that I use and share with others.

Since graduating from Massage Therapy school in 2011, I have had the opportunity to offer Massage Therapy in various settings: spa, health club, chiropractor, surgeon, in home and office and slip & fall/ auto accident treatment facility and to teach Infant Massage.

The term “Custom Body Therapy” is the approach I take when working with clients, and Massage Therapy is one aspect of wellness I advocate, including access to the following:

    • Customized Massage Therapy Sessions
    • Infant Massage classes
    • Couples Massage classes
    • TLS Slim Weight Loss Program
    • Isotonix Nutraceutical grade wellness products
    • Environmentally friendly household products
    • DNA Miracles Infant & Child wellness & bathing products
    • Essential Oils
    • Shopping
    • Wellness Blog
    • Access to Classes  & Counseling with like minded wellness advocates and professionals

I look forward to sharing with you what I have learned (and what I am learning!) as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Bengkung Belly Wrap Coach, TLS Coach and Nutrametrix Consultant and just as important, from my friends, family, colleagues and clientele.

One important thing I have learned, is that one size does not fit all and that my attention to my clients, on the massage table, when locating a product or coaching them in weight management must be customizable.  Each of you is uniquely special and you deserve the distinctionand attention that is a good fit for you.

Having been diagnosed with (Triple Negative) Breast Cancer in June of 2013, I was able to experience the benefits of having already been on the path to wellness prior to undergoing treatment.  Going into treatment as a healthy individual was key in having to take little if any prescription and over the counter medicine in managing side effects.  Being surrounded by people personally and professionally who shared my views in health and wellness was another amazing key to me becoming a cancer “thriver”.  An additional key aspect of staying positive during treatment was the opportunity to continue working as a Licensed Massage Therapist during treatment at Elements Spa of Prairie Stone Sports and Wellness Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.  During that time I had an opportunity to contribute to the following advertorial at the wellness center in regard to breast cancer awareness.

Breast Cancer Awareness

I hope that the information that I share is fun, helpful and inspirational to someone out there.  Please feel free to share your wellness journey, I look forward to being inspired as well.*

Yours in Health & Wellness,

Dawn Grossi, LMT

Draping laws are strictly enforced in accordance with Floridat 64B7-30.001 Misconduct and Negligence in the Practice of Massage Therapy.(4) Failure to explain expected draping techniques to a client. As used in this rule, draping means towels, gowns, sheets or clothing. (5) Failure to appropriately drape a client. Appropriate draping of a client shall include draping of the buttocks and genitalia of all clients, and breasts of female clients, unless the client gives specific informed consent to be undraped.

Draping techniques: I will step out of the room while you disrobe to your comfort level and you will lay face down or face up on the table and cover yourself with the top sheet (and blanket if applicable) so that you are covered from under your shoulders and down to your feet. I will ask if you are covered before re-entering the room.  Male clients may have the option of covering from the waist down.

The genital areas of men and women are covered at all times and NEVER massaged.

While “breast massage” for breast health and postpartum clients will be demonstrated,

proper draping and protocol will be implemented.
